With over three decades of proven leadership across corporate communications, stakeholder engagement, and executive learning, Puan Harison brings a rare blend of strategic insight, executional excellence, and human-centred leadership to the boardroom.
Armed with a Master’s in Managerial Psychology, a Bachelor’s in Science with Education and a Diploma in Public Relations, Puan Harison established a foundation rooted in persuasive communication and impactful storytelling. Her early roles with PETRONAS, Silicon Communications, and other leading organizations saw her shaping corporate narratives, strengthening public relations functions, and leading communication efforts with precision.
Her work at Petrosains Discovery Centre—a PETRONAS subsidiary—was a turning point where she established communication protocols and strategies that are still referenced today. In 2006, she joined PETRONAS Corporate Affairs, where she led transformative CSR efforts and drove strategic stakeholder engagement. Notably, she spearheaded the Program Bakti Pendidikan PETRONAS, a nationwide educational initiative that mobilized hundreds of volunteers and touched countless educators and students.
Between 2008 and 2012, as Learning Manager at the PETRONAS Leadership Centre, Puan Harison shaped leadership development programs in areas such as Business Communication, Emotional Intelligence, and Innovation. Her collaborations with global institutions, including the Thunderbird School of Global Management, reflect her commitment to cultivating future-ready, globally competent leaders.
Even after her retirement f rom full-time corporate life, Puan Harison remains actively engaged as a consultant, coach, and facilitator, delivering impactful communication training and mentoring emerging leaders—both locally and internationally—to elevate their professional presence and influence.
Her contributions extend to thought leadership as well, with writings featured in DIMENSION and The Thunderbird School of Business Case Book. She played a key editorial role in significant projects such as the PETRONAS Lubricant Business Case Study and the Impact Study Report for MIGHT, reflecting her commitment to clarity, rigour , and results-driven analysis.
